From the graceful seabirds at Kilauea Point and the precious honeycreepers of the Alaka`i Swamp to the windswept plains of Kohala and the native forest of Mauna Kea, Hawai`i is home to some of the rarest and most beautiful birds in the world. This DVD presents over 90 species in crisp digital video. It is accompanied by the music of gifted slack key guitar artists Paul Togioka and Hal Kinnaman and is appropriate for both the visiting birder seeking to indetify our local birds and as a relaxation video for those who simply enjoy the diverse avifauna of The Hawaiian Islands.

I'iwi (Vestiaria coccinea) - An endemic honeycreeper, the Iiwi uses its long curved bill to probe into native flowers in search of nectar.

Kauai Amakihi (Hemignathus stejnegeri) - Found only in the native forest of Kauai, this endemic honeycreeper has a bill adapted to feed on a variety of sources.
